Sunshine Club

The Sunshine Club of St. Paul's Lutheran Church was organized in 1916 as the "Busy Martha Club" under Pastor Theo Fehlou.  Their objective was to be modern day "Marthas" and care for the altar, have flowers for beauty each Sunday and to provide a meal for any bereaved family in the church.  Prior to 1936, the name was changed to the Sunshine Club.

Through the years there have been many special projects initiated and funded by the Sunshine Club, such as:

Needlepointing the altar kneelers and pillows

Replacing the carpet with slate around the altar

Establishing and maintaing the gallery of Confirmation pictures

Maintaining the gallery of pictures of the Pastors in the Church Parlor

Other on-going projects include:

Gift of "Little Visits for Toddlers" for Baptisms

Sale of St. Paul's note cards

Needlepoint kneelers maintenance

Providing a meal for bereaved Sunshine Club member families

Hosting various receptions for St. Paul's Church

Projects for civic, community, nonprofit organizatins and needy families, such as gift bags for children at Pilot Light Home.
